What I'm Working On Now

A snapshot of where my attention is right now — projects, process, and place.

Updated December 2025

I'm currently working on two documentary projects in Montana:

Generational Mining continues to unfold across former company towns like Butte, Anaconda, and Helena. I'm tracing how extraction shaped these places and the lives still unfolding in its wake — using my grandfather's 1912 camera to examine inheritance, landscape, and memory.

Taking the Waters is a newer project exploring hot springs resorts across the Mountain West. I'm documenting the people who visit these aging, family-run gathering places and asking: what draws them here? What are they seeking when they take the waters — healing, community, ritual, or relief from something they can't name?

Beyond the camera, I've been diving deep into creative nonfiction. Reading widely, writing daily, and using that practice as a scaffold for thinking about photographic storytelling. The two disciplines are informing each other in ways I didn't expect.

I'm based in Bozeman and spending most of my time between here, Butte, Helena, and Anaconda.
