Quiet Frames From An April Afternoon

A Walk Through Bozeman's Historic Cemetery

I've been working on this thing where I only take five frames per outing, then edit them as a sequence. It's supposed to help me think more about narrative and stay present instead of just burning through shots.

My partner and I spent an afternoon wandering through Bozeman's historic cemetery. I like cemeteries—there's so much quiet history there, all these people from different times just resting together under the trees.

I found myself drawn to the small details. Worn headstones with names you can barely make out anymore. Bright seasonal decorations someone had left hanging in the branches—little bursts of color against all that weathered stone.

At some point we stopped for lunch and I caught my partner enjoying a burger and wine in the spring sun, completely content. One of those simple moments that somehow feels worth preserving.

Five frames from a quiet afternoon. Stones, decorations, and good company. The cemetery holds it all—past and present, memory and the moment we're actually living in.
